Minister Mbah Acha Rose Fomundam Champions CPDM Campaign in Batibo Amid Ghost Town

Minister Mbah Acha Rose Fomundam, head of the CPDM Permanent Delegation in Momo Division and President of the CPDM Momo Divisional Campaign Committee, defied the ghost town phenomenon to lead campaign activities in Batibo. The minister called on the residents to vote for CPDM presidential candidate Paul Biya, emphasizing the importance of continued development in Momo Division.

During the campaign, Minister Mbah Acha highlighted the significant infrastructure advancements made under Biya’s leadership, including improved roads, hospitals, and educational facilities. She underscored the importance of voting for Biya to ensure the continuation of these projects, notably mentioning the Bamenda-Enugu corridor, health centers, and water schemes.


“We are here to encourage our people and congratulate them on the work done so far,” Mbah Acha stated. “Despite the ghost town, we are with you. We urge you to come out and vote massively for our champion, President Paul Biya, who leads a party of development and unity.”

The minister also made a heartfelt appeal to those in the bushes, urging them to abandon violence and embrace peace as advocated by Biya. “Paul Biya has been preaching peace,” she said. “We want normalcy to return. His arms are wide open, ready to embrace those who choose to drop their arms.”
Mbah Acha continued to mobilize support, appealing to both CPDM militants and sympathizers. “Join the winning team that has brought so many developments,” she encouraged, referencing the improvements in infrastructure and public services.

Fon Teche Njei II, a member of the Central Committee, praised Mbah Acha’s leadership, calling her a “square peg in a square hole.” He urged the people of Momo to not allow themselves to be used politically and to rally behind Biya, emphasizing the importance of the upcoming election on October 12.
The Section President of CPDM Momo II Batibo and the President of the Communal campaign team Anyere Charles . expressed confidence in achieving a “100% victory.”
"President Paul Biya is a well-known choice for our people due to his commitment to peace and development. He has initiated numerous projects in Batibo, including roads, hospitals, and schools.
Campaigns launched on September 28 across all 37 CPDM subsections in Batibo feature massive door-to-door efforts promoting President Biya's policies, receiving positive feedback. We’re confident of a 100% vote for him on the 12th."

Women, youth, and community leaders echoed this sentiment, reaffirming their commitment to vote for Biya to ensure ongoing development.

WCPDM President Masanga Luise highlighted the government's efforts toward gender balance, noting the establishment of the Ministry of Women Empowerment and the Family. "This institution has transformed Momo women from housewives to entrepreneurs," she remarked, inviting everyone to vote for a candidate who cares for women.

Tebi Blaise Mbaku, Y-CPDM President for Momo II Batibo, highlighted the achievements for youth in the region, stating, “A vote for Paul Biya is a vote for success, development, and peace.”


Mayor Acha Kennedy Ngu emphasized the positive impact of developmental projects initiated under Biya's leadership, assuring that the population would turn out en masse to support him on October 12. "The drums of victory have been sharpened and will be blasted when the election results are announced," he declared.

As part of the campaign, voters were informed about the importance of choosing the CPDM party’s white ballot paper, described by Minister Mbah Acha as a symbol of their commitment to a better future. The event concluded with a match pass led by Justice Mbah Acha Rose, reinforcing the unity and determination of the CPDM supporters.

With the election just days away, the atmosphere in Batibo remains charged with anticipation as the community prepares to make their voices heard.
