Women Securing Peace and building Victory together

In a heartwarming display of community support, Senator Regina Mundi, along with several prominent figures from the North West region, distributed gifts valued at 15 million CFA francs to local residents on Saturday, September 6, 2025. This initiative, aimed especially at mothers and students, was part of the theme "Women Securing Peace and Building Victory Together."

The event took place at Congress Hall, where a generous assortment of school bags and educational materials rained down upon attendees. Senator Mundi, the head of the CPDM Permanent Delegation of the North West, seized the moment to rally women to unite for a common goal.

"I'm calling on all the women to be united. Work together for victory," she urged. "We, the women, must be the ones to work for peace in this region. As women, we are the greatest losers when there is no peace. To secure victory for President Paul in the upcoming elections, we must ensure our voices are heard, and we must be heard as one."

Senator Mundi emphasized the importance of education, stating, "This initiative reflects our commitment to education in this region. We encourage mothers to provide school materials for their children. Education is vital; it empowers individuals and transforms society. We hope to inspire the women of this region to invest in their children's futures to make our community and country a better place."

The list of 28 scholarship recipients was compiled by the GCE Board, including students from GCE Ordinary and Advanced levels, as well as TVEE Advanced and Intermediate levels. Senator Mundi reassured these students, encouraging them to work diligently: "Education is the greatest weapon you can use to build a better community. We are here to support you in excelling in your endeavors."

Together, with unity and determination, the women of the North West can pave the way for a brighter future.
